From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank you for your support and dedication that made this campaign possible. I will be forever grateful for your support and for believing in our vision for moving America forward.

This was an intense and competitive campaign, and I would like to congratulate Jamie Raskin on his victory and all our opponents putting themselves out there in this campaign. While we fell short, I'm proud of our campaign and our work to continue building the movement for progressive change in Maryland -- and beyond.

Our fight doesn’t stop here.

We have serious issues facing this nation and I’m incredibly concerned about what may happen if right-wing extremists are allowed to grow their power in Washington.

We simply can't let them roll back all the progress we’ve made under President Obama. Now is the time to unify and ensure Democratic victories up and down the ballot to secure a positive future for all of our families.

The big banks and credit card companies were trying to peddle a terrible bankruptcy bill in the Senate, and I was looking for help to stop it. It's not always easy to find people willing to stand up to big financial companies in Washington. Onward Together was formed as a way to support and connect the groups that are doing the work that absolutely needs to be done right now -- from mobilizing voters to encouraging and training new activists to recruiting people who are ready to run for office themselves. BREAKING NEWS: Senate Republicans are pushing the Blunt Amendment, a radical piece of legislation that would cannibalize health care reform by letting any employer deny any part of your heath care coverage due to “moral convictions.” Robert, this goes way beyond taking away birth control coverage. An employer could decide that they couldn’t shell out the money necessary for your expensive cancer treatment because of their "moral convictions," and you’d be out of luck. The 4th most powerful Democrat in the House, Hakeem Jeffries, and one of the most conservative Democrats in Congress, Josh Gottheimer, have launched “Team Blue PAC” — a PAC specifically designed to spend big money against progressive primary challengers like Justice Democrats.
