From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank you for your support and dedication that made this campaign possible. I will be forever grateful for your support and for believing in our vision for moving America forward.

This was an intense and competitive campaign, and I would like to congratulate Jamie Raskin on his victory and all our opponents putting themselves out there in this campaign. While we fell short, I'm proud of our campaign and our work to continue building the movement for progressive change in Maryland -- and beyond.

Our fight doesn’t stop here.

We have serious issues facing this nation and I’m incredibly concerned about what may happen if right-wing extremists are allowed to grow their power in Washington.

We simply can't let them roll back all the progress we’ve made under President Obama. Now is the time to unify and ensure Democratic victories up and down the ballot to secure a positive future for all of our families.

Robert – In less than three months, the Supreme Court will hear a case that could undermine  Roe v. Wade  and set women’s health back decades. If the Court rules the wrong way, it could force the only clinic in west Texas to close and open the floodgates for even more extreme anti-abortion regulations designed to keep women from accessing a legal medical procedure. Republicans have been chipping away at a woman’s constitutional right to make her own health care decisions for YEARS, but this case is the biggest threat to the right to choose we’ve ever faced.  We need to speak out together  now , before the Supreme Court guts abortion rights. Friends, When it comes to taking a position on any bill, Floridians know my promise: I will listen to them, I will listen to my conscience, and I will deeply study what’s on my desk before making a decision. The past few weeks, the proposal on my desk has been the nuclear deal with Iran. I have to say, this has been the toughest decision of my career in Congress. After listening to arguments on both sides, carefully reviewing all the materials, and soliciting answers from both supporters and opponents, I have reached a decision. A nuclear Iran would be an unacceptable threat to America and Israel. As a nation, we must always keep all options on the table. But before we place our Armed Forces in harm’s way, I feel I owe it to all Floridians -- especially our servicemembers -- to exhaust all other courses of action. The deal we have is flawed.
