Dear robert,
Back in February, we launched a search for the best BBQ sauces to become the official sauces of the 2012 Democratic National Convention. We were looking for the best sauce in three different categories that represent the different regions of the Carolinas – a western North Carolina tomato-based sauce, an eastern North Carolina vinegar-based sauce, and a South Carolina mustard-based sauce.
We were excited to receive 30 different sauce submissions from around the country. The sauces ranged from homemade to nationally recognized brands.
After the sauce submission deadline, we gathered a group of qualified BBQ judges – including myself – to help us pick a winner in each category.

robert, Medicare is a contract we have made with every person in this country since it was signed into law 50 years ago today. That if you work hard, do your part, then when you retire Medicare is there to have your back. Through the appointments, the check ups, the medications, and anything else you might need. But Republicans want to break that contract and put the healthcare of over 50 million Americans in danger.  They want to tell seniors we don’t have the money. Find your healthcare somewhere else. You know that security you were promised? Take a hike. Republicans are falling over themselves with new plans every day to phase out and cut Medicare. Tell them you’re ready to fight back. Bob: put an end to these unfair subsidies

Robert, This makes my blood boil:  Each year, taxpayers spend BILLIONS of dollars subsidizing big oil and gas companies! These companies don’t need taxpayer dollars, period. In 2013 alone, the Big Five oil companies posted profits of $93 BILLION. But that didn’t stop the industry from lining its pockets with BILLIONS of your tax dollars that same year. No wonder the Big Five oil companies were able to pay their CEOs $125 million last year alone. What’s more, even as these often-negligent companies walk away with your hard-earned money, they pollute our air and water, hurting our families and damaging our environment! robert,     Angela Giron listened to the people of Colorado after the tragic shootings in Aurora and Newtown. The state senator bravely cast the deciding vote for commonsense gun safety legislation in Colorado six months ago. Now the NRA is trying to make an example out of Angela.
