Majority Leader Mitch McConnell isn't the only Republican suggesting that the Senate should spend the next year blocking President Obama's Supreme Court nominee. Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson has been in lockstep with McConnell from the start.
Thankfully, Wisconsin voters will have their say this No‌vember when Senator Johnson and Russ Feingold are on the ballot. If Senator Johnson won't do his job, it's time to replace him. I'm committed to doing everything I can to help Russ win in November. Will you join me?

Senator Johnson and Leader McConnell are calculating that if a Republican wins the White House and they keep the Republican majority in the Senate, they can fill the vacant seat with another ultra-conservative judge in 2017. This would tip the balance of the Court in the favor of the special interests.
I'm going to do everything I can in the Senate to keep the pressure on the Republicans to reconsider their position. But it's crucial that we take back the Senate this No‌vember. And a Russ Feingold victory is a key milestone towards that goal.
Russ can win in Nov‌ember -- so long as he has the money to keep building a grassroots campaign and fight back against Ron Johnson and his special interest cronies on the airwaves. Why I filibustered for gun violence prevention Friend --  I was the Congressman from Newtown, Connecticut when tragedy struck Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14th, 2012. As long as I live, I’ll never forget the scene at the firehouse when twenty-six families were told they would not be reunited with their children and loved ones.  For years, Congress has failed those families and the victims of gun violence all across the country.  That is why yesterday, starting at 11:21 a.m., I decided to stand on the Senate floor and talk for as long as I could about the need to prevent gun violence. Dear friend, Yesterday, I visited Jackson Park, the future home of the Obama Presidential Center, and surprised some of the Center’s future neighbors.  Take a look. We can’t wait to bring this Center to the South Side. For Michelle and me, this project is about more than building a gathering space and museum—it’s an opportunity to bring jobs, investment, and economic opportunity to a neighborhood that’s given us so much.  But we also know that to be successful, this project needs to not just be for the community, it must be built in partnership with the community.    That’s why, this week, I spent time with local business owners at South Shore Brew coffee shop and got to hear from them directly about their hopes for the Center.  I also stopped by the Wolfpack youth football team’s practice and talked to some of the kids who use Jackson Park every day.
