Friend -- I wanted to make sure you saw the news: Today President Obama announced a common-sense policy change that will make our immigration system fairer and smarter. I'm proud to support it, and I hope you are, too. It's a smart, strategic change. And it will make a difference. But more comprehensive change requires Congress to act. ...
Hi there, When I was growing up, the classroom was one of the first places that helped me find my voice. I learned a lot in school—my multiplication tables, how to structure a paragraph—but also how to raise my hand, push myself, and speak my mind. They shared their hopes for themselves and for their families, and they shared how the support they receive from local organizations has helped them to stay in school and build a brighter future. I hope you’ll take acti...

Robert, One of the many things Minnesota’s Amy Klobuchar and I have in common is that people don’t believe we are senators! In fact, both of us have been mistaken for the wife or employee of the same male senator. You don’t want to miss the full story in the latest Off The Sidelines podcast! I'm excited to share conversations I had with Amy and our colleague Heidi Heitkamp about what got us off the sidelines and interested in pursuing public service. We also spoke about Amy's recent book and what issues a Senate full of women might tackle. I had a great time talking to Heidi and Amy, and I think you’ll enjoy them, too! Click here to listen to my conversations with Heidi and Amy on the newest episode of the Off The Sidelines podcast! Thanks for tuning in, Kirsten P.S. It is unbelievable people still see men as leaders and women as wives or employees – but the more women run for office, the sooner that will change. Chip in $5 to Off The Sidelines t...
