When I reflect on the progress we’ve made these past eight years -- bringing healthcare to 20 million people, helping businesses create millions of new jobs, making college affordable for so many young people, and so much more -- I remember who made it all possible.

It was grassroots Democrats like you who came together to move our country forward. And over the next five days, I’m counting on you to do it again.

Robert, I was just in Colorado and Iowa with Mark Udall and Bruce Braley over the weekend, and let me tell you: The people there are fighting their hearts out. We all have to do absolutely the same if we want to keep the majority in the Senate. I know you're probably getting a TON of emails right now from tight campaigns all across the country (I am too.) But I wanted to recommend three of the closest tossup Senate races in the country -- three campaigns where every dollar could make a difference: Iowa Democrat Bruce Braley is down by four points in one poll and up just one in another. Alaska Democrat Mark Begich is down by 2-6 points in the four most recent polls. And Colorado Democrat Mark Udall is in a dead heat in the most recent poll. All three of them are getting slammed by vicious attack ads from powerful Super PACs. I first ran for the California State Assembly in 1991, and I lost. Badly. I tried again in 1994, and got a little bit closer, but still, there are no prizes for second place in politics. Robert - I just left the stage at the final debate before 14 caucuses and primaries take place over the  next three weeks.  And the message I sent to those who have yet to vote is that the American people cannot afford to wait for transformational change. We’ve heard a lot of folks in the political establishment, and  tonight  on the stage, say that our ideas are too bold. That the best we can do right now is incremental change. But as my dear friend Senator Nina Turner has said,  "the future of our country is too important to go from yes we can to no we can’t." Robert - Yesterday, Congressman Ro Khanna and I led 21 lawmakers in a call on Donald Trump to de-escalate tensions with Iran and prevent war in the Middle East. We sent a letter directly to the president calling out his reckless decision to assassinate General Soleimani and demanding authorization from Congress for any military action against Iran. Robert, This makes my blood boil:  Each year, taxpayers spend BILLIONS of dollars subsidizing big oil and gas companies! These companies don’t need taxpayer dollars, period. In 2013 alone, the Big Five oil companies posted profits of $93 BILLION. But that didn’t stop the industry from lining its pockets with BILLIONS of your tax dollars that same year. No wonder the Big Five oil companies were able to pay their CEOs $125 million last year alone. What’s more, even as these often-negligent companies walk away with your hard-earned money, they pollute our air and water, hurting our families and damaging our environment!
