I’m very pleased to share with you that today the Charlotte Lozier Institute released a new video featuring a young woman who made an incredible recovery from severe spinal cord injury thanks to a transplant using her own adult stem cells.
 
Meet Laura Dominguez-Tauer. When Laura was only 16, a devastating car crash left her paralyzed from the neck down. 

She was told she would never walk again. 
Her father’s online research, however, led to the discovery of an adult stem cell transplant done for spinal cord injury survivors. 

Now, 15 years later, Laura shares about her recovery, her family, and how she has used her own experience to help others who have been impacted by spinal cord injury, dramatic brain injury, and stroke.

Many others like Laura are currently being treated using ethically-derived, non-controversial adult stem cell transplants, which do not rely on the destruction of young human life. Adult stem cells are the gold standard of stem cells when it comes to patients.  Well over one million patients worldwide have been treated using adult stem cell transplants. In 2015 alone, more than 21,000 bone marrow and umbilical cord blood transplants were performed in the United States, according to the federal Health Resources and Services Administration’s Blood Cell Transplant Report.

ShePac: She Did It!

  Fellow Patriot, She did it. We did it. Iowa State Senator Joni Ernst won the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate. In a crowded primary of five candidates, Joni won over 55% of the vote. It's an astounding number considering most polls had her around 35% - the threshold to avoid a convention. Joni was ShePAC's first endorsement of 2014 - when most polls had her in the single digits and no one was talking about her campaign. Iowa was also the site for ShePAC's first "Heels On, Gloves Off" rally of 2014. Robert, Working and middle-class families in Wisconsin are worried about paying their bills. I hear this every day as I listen to voters, especially this week as I talked to new homeowners in Green Bay and Milwaukee about the challenges they face. There are very few options available for working families to help make ends meet, but one is the mortgage interest deduction. That's why it's so troubling to me that Senator Johnson considers this, a bedrock of Wisconsin's middle-class, something that could be on the table for elimination in future tax negotiations. Eliminating the mortgage interest tax deduction would be disastrous for working and middle-class families who own homes in this state, many of whom are already on the brink financially. The 4th most powerful Democrat in the House, Hakeem Jeffries, and one of the most conservative Democrats in Congress, Josh Gottheimer, have launched “Team Blue PAC” — a PAC specifically designed to spend big money against progressive primary challengers like Justice Democrats. Jeffries and Gottheimer claim they are doing this on behalf of Democratic Party leadership.
