Our friends over at EMILY’s List are holding a “Flip the Senate” Moneybomb, robert.

Democrats only need to flip five seats to win back control of the Senate. EMILY’s List is supporting nine fantastic pro-choice women in senate races this year -- six in seats that we can flip, and three in seats we need to hold.

These could be the candidates who take back the Senate for Democrats. And today we have a chance to help them.

EMILY’s List is working to raise $100,000 by midnight tonight to strengthen their grassroots organization. Can you chip in $5, $10, or more?

Has there ever been a more important time to have more women in Congress?

Republicans in Washington take every chance they can get to stand between women and their doctors. The attacks on Planned Parenthood and access to care are practically never-ending. And the next Supreme Court Justice the Senate approves could determine the future of Roe vs. Wade.

The two best things we can do this year are 1) Elect more women, and 2) Take back control of the Senate. Luckily, EMILY’s List is working on both at the same time.

Robert, I was just in Colorado and Iowa with Mark Udall and Bruce Braley over the weekend, and let me tell you: The people there are fighting their hearts out. Dear robert, Frankly, I'm disgusted that I even have to write this message. You would think that if any issue was safe from political posturing, it would be violence against women. But no. Next week, the Senate is scheduled to vote on renewing the Violence Against Women Act, and Republicans can't stop playing politics for a single day on an issue this important.  Many, many Republicans in Congress have announced their opposition to renewing the Act -- including some of those running against our women. This vote could actually be close. It's enough to make me want to throw up my hands and scream. But that won't help the women who need the protections in this law. What will help them?
