Chuck: Don't believe the Republican spin

Robert,
Republicans want us to believe that their new plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act is more reasonable than all their previous attempts to pass TrumpCare. (Just like they want us to believe that Donald Trump's agenda is working for the American people.)
Don't believe the Republican spin, folks. Not for a second. Senate Republicans have until Sep‌tember 30‌th to repeal the Affordable Care Act with only 50 votes. And you know what? They are dangerously close to getting there.
This is a red siren moment for our country. Our health care is once again under attack. As absurd as this may sound, health care for millions of Americans will likely be determined by one or two on-the-fence Republican senators. The deciding votes.
I'm leading a rally to protest the Cassidy-Graham health care bill today outside the Capitol Building. Whether you're in D.C. or Indiana, pledge to join me in taking one action every day -- big or small -- to protect the Affordable Care Act from now until Octob‌er 1‌st. Let's start by urging on-the-fence Republican senators to do the right thing and vote NO on the Republican repeal plan. Take action today.
Just like all those previous attempts, this resurrection of TrumpCare would end Medicaid as we know it, tax the elderly, hugely increase premiums for those of us with pre-existing conditions, and reduce access for many millions of kids. It must be stopped. This is a red siren moment for all of us to take action -- I need you to step up.

Historic Victory at Standing Rock Calls for Celebration and Vigilance For the last eight months, the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe has led a historic campaign against the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL), uniting hundreds of tribes, environmentalists, veterans and other activists inspired by their bold stand in defense of native treaty rights and the environment.   On Sunday, millions of people around the world celebrated news that the Army Corps of Engineers had rejected an easement to allow DAPL to go forward. This was an enormous victory for the movement and for ordinary people everywhere in the struggle against Big Oil and naked corporate greed. On Tuesday, President Trump and the First Lady toured the affected Texas areas hit by Hurricane Harvey. The President praised the work being done across the state by government agencies at all levels, including First Responders and private citizens willing to lend a hand to help their fellow American. President Trump is proud to see Americans uniting to help those in need in the wake of this disaster, reminding us that we are all one American family.
