Bob: Thank you for once again

Robert -- Thank you for once again putting your faith in me to be your Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate. It is an honor to be representing New Jersey and to be running for re-election.  I have always believed our democracy is best served when we are lifted up by our hope and when our faith trumps fear. And with Donald Trump in the White House, we must once again prove that bringing people together to create opportunity is more noble than the politics of division that only serve to protect the powerful.  I grew up in a tenement in Union City as the son of a seamstress and a carpenter. I was the first in my family to go to college. I know what it means to struggle. I understand the hurdles many of you face because I've faced those same hurdles. That's why I'll always fight for the dreams and aspirations of New Jersey’s working families.  It has never mattered more in an election for working people to be united.  That's why I'm asking you to join us to fight for affordable healthcare, to protect a woman's right to choose, and to stop Donald Trump's attacks on working people. Please take a minute to watch this video and then chip in $5 or more to this campaign: WATCH THE VIDEO Every election is a choice -- but I believe Trump's war on New Jersey and our people makes the election this November pretty clear.  I opposed the Trump tax scheme that hit working and middle-class taxpayers in favor of giant corporations and the richest. And I will never let Washington Republicans pay for that tax cut by cutting Social Security and Medicare.  I've written comprehensive immigration reform to give DREAMers the chance to succeed and contribute. I've led the fight to raise the minimum wage, for equal pay, and to make a college education affordable. I've taken on the gun lobby in the fight to ban assault weapons and require background checks -- efforts that have earned me an "F" from the NRA.  My Republican opponent, greedy drug company CEO Bob Hugin, is going to have to answer for his record of driving up prices for cancer patients while making millions for himself. Hugin is going to have to explain to the people of New Jersey why he paid a $280 million settlement for defrauding taxpayers and ripping off cancer patients.  And Hugin is going to have to defend working to elect Donald Trump by giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to support his campaign while Trump attacked our state, our people, and our values.  Robert, I'm proud of my record fighting for people like you in the U.S. Senate -- and I want to keep fighting for you and your family.
