fracking threatened my home and drinking water in upstate New York

Black,

As someone who has been active in the fight against fracking for nine years, I know how much it takes to stop the oil and gas industry from polluting the land and communities we love.

Since I first learned that fracking threatened my home and drinking water in upstate New York, I’ve been working with Food & Water Watch. I've joined with them because they understand the power of community organizing to win campaigns.

Please donate to Food & Water Watch to help continue their work to ban fracking everywhere!
Food & Water Watch was the first national organization to call for a ban on fracking, even when no one thought it was possible. They believe, as do I, that the power of people is unstoppable, and when we work together we can win. It takes a lot of work, but it can be done.

In an age when many organizations focus most of their energy in online organizing, Food & Water Watch invests its time and energy into building up and working with grassroots organizations and people on the ground. Whether it’s educating people, building coalitions or pressuring elected officials, they are there every step of the way.

We won a fracking ban in New York, and since then Food & Water Watch has continued its winning strategy across the country. They have been crucial in banning fracking in Maryland, building robust movements against fracking in Pennsylvania and Florida, and supporting communities in Colorado, California and Ohio that have passed hundreds of measures against fracking.

But there is much more work to be done — we need to stop fracking everywhere to protect our drinking water, our air and public health.

When you support Food & Water Watch you help build the movement to take on the oil and gas industry and to ban fracking.

Food & Water Watch relies on individual grassroots donors like you for the critical support to mount winning campaigns. They don’t take any money from corporations or the government, so you know they can remain independent to fight for the solutions we need, free of special interest influence. That’s one of the many reasons why I think Food & Water Watch is deserving of your support.

Please consider making a donation to support Food & Water Watch, and join us as we continue to fight for a ban on fracking everywhere.

Thanks for standing with us to create a better future,
