We had another strong performance at the debate tonight in Fayetteville. Once again, we showed where Tom Cotton's priorities lie: With the out-of-state billionaires bankrolling his campaign.
This year, his backers have spent over $20 million trying to buy this election. Why? Because they know they can count on Tom Cotton. That's the difference in this race. I listen to you and he listens to the billlionaires.  

But we can't rest on our laurels with tonight's victory. 
The polls show this race is a dead heat, and we'll need a strong turnout to ensure victory.

Dear Robert, What if there was a magic button that could overturn  Citizens United , get the word “SuperPAC” out of our national vocabulary, and drive shady money out of our political system forever? Wouldn’t you push the heck out of that button? Me, too. But there’s no such button. All we can do is fight as hard as we can to limit the influence of big money -- and one important step we can take is passing the DISCLOSE Act, a bill that would force special interest groups to tell us who’s funding their political activities. This contest in the Show Me State might be the dark-horse contest to watch. --  NPR , 5/2/2016 Friends, “Dark horse.” “Sleeping giant.” The press is running out of metaphors to describe how tight this race has become. Of course, there are more good ones. Like “photo finish”, as in how close this race could be come Election Day --  especially now that Donald Trump is at the top of the Republican ticket for president. Or “buried in mud,” as in what Super PACs and special interests hope to do to me before November. Or “work to the bone,”  which is what we’re going to do to hit our $55,000 goal -- and every other goal we have -- in order to keep fighting and win this thing. Dear Patriot, Our country is running a deficit, a very serious deficit. We are fiscally broke and there is no end in sight to curb the limitless spending in Washington. I am outraged by the waste that pollutes our government. It makes my blood boil to see money that should be spent defending our country instead being wasted. “The Rhode Island Democrat gave his 100th ‘Time to Wake Up’ speech Monday.” -  AP , 5/18/15 Dear robert, Despite scientific evidence, there are quite a few members in the U.S. Senate who deny climate change is even happening, let alone that it’s a problem. How do we wake these deniers up to the need for action to combat climate change? I’ve considered pouring a five-gallon bucket filled with cold water over their heads. But on further consideration, that seems both impractical and unwise. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse has a much better idea. Mia: Americans deserve to know the full truth

Dear  robert , Recently I was named to the select committee to investigate the alleged sale of fetal body parts by Planned Parenthood.  I recognize this as a great responsibility, and believe this needs to be a fair, non-partisan look into possible illegal activity conducted in the organization.   The recent horrific videos that have been released must be investigated.  We as Americans deserve to know the full truth behind what has been released. Bernie: super PACs and the billionaire class want to block that path

Robert - I want to talk about what we did  last night : after starting in the polls in Wisconsin down more than 40 points, we finished the election with a HUGE margin of victory. We're also going to come away with a strong majority of the delegates. We are on the path to the Democratic nomination for president. But I want to be clear:  super PACs and the billionaire class want to block that path in the New York primary. We very much expect an unbelievable amount of attacks and negativity over the  next two weeks .  But I also expect that if we all stand together, starting right now, we can come out of New York with another victory. Robert, This morning, Marcelle and I were proud to see how many Vermonters travelled all the way to Washington to participate in the Women’s March on Washington. And we were so pleased to see so many gather for a similar march in Montpelier this afternoon. It was an honor to join together with many thousands of women and men gathered to proclaim loudly that women’s rights are human rights -- and to make a strong statement a day after the inauguration of Donald Trump. By coming together today, Americans of all gender identities, races, faiths, sexual orientations, and immigration statuses sent a powerful message that we will continue fighting for women's rights, to protect our communities, and for progress on the issues that matter.
