For the first time in thirty-six years, the United States has refused to protect Israel’s borders.

On December 23, 2016, in a blatant and dishonoring move and under the cover of the holiday weekend, the United Nations Security Council voted unanimously to pass U.N. Resolution 2334 which condemns Israel for its settlement growth in Eastern Jerusalem.

Israeli-Palestinian settlements have not been a part of any U.N. resolutions since 1980 – until now and with the help of the Obama administration.

Dear Robert, What if there was a magic button that could overturn  Citizens United , get the word “SuperPAC” out of our national vocabulary, and drive shady money out of our political system forever? Wouldn’t you push the heck out of that button? Me, too. But there’s no such button. All we can do is fight as hard as we can to limit the influence of big money -- and one important step we can take is passing the DISCLOSE Act, a bill that would force special interest groups to tell us who’s funding their political activities. I was around Jason’s age when I first ran for U.S. Senate. His race reminds me a lot of mine. Like Jason, I was up against a long-time incumbent. Like Jason, when I started my campaign, very few people in Washington thought we had a chance. We proved them wrong, exactly like you folks are doing now.   But you’re up against something we didn’t have so much of in my time:  Special Interests. Sure, there were always groups that tried to influence elections. But after the Supreme Court’s decision in  Citizens United  a couple of years ago, we've never seen the kind of unlimited flow of dark money that's flooding our politics today.
