Joe: I was around Jason’s age

I was around Jason’s age when I first ran for U.S. Senate. His race reminds me a lot of mine.

Like Jason, I was up against a long-time incumbent. Like Jason, when I started my campaign, very few people in Washington thought we had a chance.

We proved them wrong, exactly like you folks are doing now.  

But you’re up against something we didn’t have so much of in my time: Special Interests.Sure, there were always groups that tried to influence elections. But after the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United a couple of years ago, we've never seen the kind of unlimited flow of dark money that's flooding our politics today.

Special interest groups have already pledged nearly $6 million against Jason. And now that the polls are dead even, more and more money will pour in.

Jason needs to raise $150,000 this month to keep fighting for everything you care about. And he needs you--which is why I'm asking for your help.

My black history was not white enough for the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.

 It's me the President of the Black Independent Party. Robert  Gilyard.  First black man to get a law degree from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith in 2007. The first class that graduated from the college.. I am black history in Fort Smith Arkansas. But the whites at the University of Arkansas is bringing their own form of black people to represent our city and they're supposed to be representations of black folks from our city.
