Jon: I came home from Iraq and started a military movement
robert -
I started VoteVets after returning from Iraq for two reasons: 1. to elect more progressive veterans, and 2. to ensure elected officials recognize the cost of war continues long after the last service member returns home from overseas.
This year, we are one of the leading voices in the fight to stop Donald Trump from ever becoming Commander in Chief, we are on the brink of electing a new generation of progressive veterans to the House and the Senate, and we are taking on the Koch Brothers' campaign to privatize the VA.
That's only possible because the vision for this organization has blossomed into a movement of 500,000-plus veterans, military family members, and their supporters standing together in these fights. And it's why I have to ask:
Contribute $3 to VoteVets ahead of tomorrow's critical FEC fundraising deadline to elevate the voices of veterans in the campaign to stop Donald Trump and efforts to privatize the veterans' health care.
Over the years, we've worked hard to elect progressive veterans like Tammy Duckworth, Tulsi Gabbard, Seth Moulton, and many others you've come to love. But our biggest challenges, and opportunities, are right in front of us. And your continued support for VoteVets will make all the difference for the values we share.
All my best,
