Bob: With 71 instances of military sexual assault occurring each and every day,

Robert,
Tell Congress: Pass the Military Justice Improvement Act now! With 71 instances of military sexual assault occurring each and every day, Congress must take action – now. Last year, Congress failed our military in a critical way by not supporting the more than 26,000 victims of military sexual assault. This year will be different.
Right now, Congress has the opportunity to do the right thing by passing the Military Justice Improvement Act, which takes sexual assault cases outside the chain of command and shifts them to independent military prosecutors.
Our servicemen and women deserve a fair and just system when sexual assault occurs, and that’s exactly what this legislation creates. Providing independent military prosecutors is a critical step for our troops – and it can’t wait any longer.
Join me in demanding that Congress do the right thing for our military – now.
The current state of sexual assault in the military is reprehensible. It’s time for a drastic change. We need to do everything that we can to support our military, instead of turning our backs on them.
Our servicemen and women defend us each and every day, and now we need to step up for them. We must act now on the fact that thousands of people in our military – and thousands more who don’t report because of how inadequate our current system is – don’t get the justice they deserve.
Congress can and must fix the current system. Join me in calling on Congress to act now.
Thanks,
Bob
