Dear Robert,
Please bear with me as I explain the disturbing procedure that could soon become legal in my state of Illinois…
...Partial birth-abortion occurs when an abortionist pulls a LIVING BABY feet-first from the womb, and then crushes the baby’s skull and suctions out her brain… while the baby’s head is still inside her mother.
Writing those words makes me physically ill. But I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night unless I knew I had done everything I could to stop this evil -- because that’s what this is: pure evil.
When our SBA List team heard this bill had passed the Illinois Senate, I asked our President, Marjorie Dannenfelser, if I could email every last one of our members to collect as many petitions as possible to try to stop it from ever becoming law.
This bill is truly beyond the pale. Two Catholic Democrats who backed this bill were even DENIED communion by the Bishop of Springfield.
I know firsthand how terrible this is… when I was a nurse, I witnessed with my very own eyes, babies being left to die after surviving an abortion attempt on their life.
I will NEVER be able to erase those horrific memories from my mind.
But I will use them to save lives wherever and whenever I can.
I blew the whistle on that sinful hospital and chose from that moment forward to dedicate my life to saving lives from abortion.
But I can’t do it alone. The Pro-Life Movement isn’t about one of us. It’s about all of us standing together to take on an industry that literally profits off of the killing of babies.

Robert, Donald Trump Jr.'s emails released yesterday are explicit. The president's son was offered a meeting with a Russian lawyer for information that "would incriminate Hillary" as part of "Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump." Trump Jr. responded:  "If it's what you say I love it" Paul Manafort, then President Trump's campaign chairman, and Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and Senior White House Adviser, joined Trump Jr. for the meeting. This news is deeply disturbing, and only the latest in a series of shifting denials, changed stories, and cascading lies around members of the Trump campaign and administration's contacts with Russia. Dear Robert, What if there was a magic button that could overturn  Citizens United , get the word “SuperPAC” out of our national vocabulary, and drive shady money out of our political system forever? Wouldn’t you push the heck out of that button? Me, too. But there’s no such button. All we can do is fight as hard as we can to limit the influence of big money -- and one important step we can take is passing the DISCLOSE Act, a bill that would force special interest groups to tell us who’s funding their political activities. Robert, My uncle once wrote in a Presidential Executive Order that government contractors should  “take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, or national origin.”  He recognized the institutional and cultural barriers that many minorities faced at the time when trying to obtain employment, and how those barriers affected their upward mobility.  Today, President Trump and Jeff Sessions are attacking affirmative action and falsely alleging that these policies that work to help disadvantaged students discriminate against white students.    That is ridiculous. Robert, We had another strong performance at the debate tonight in Fayetteville. Once again, we showed where Tom Cotton's priorities lie: With the out-of-state billionaires bankrolling his campaign. This year, his backers have spent over $20 million trying to buy this election. Why?  Because they know they can count on Tom Cotton. That's the difference in this race.
