I am running against Maxine Waters. She's been voted The Most Corrupt Person In Congress 4 times and she has access to virtually unlimited funds.
We can achieve a lot with our voices. But, I'd like to share some facts with you:
  • One mailer is $120,000.00
  • One poll or survey is $25,000.00
  • Advertising to get the word out is an ongoing, never-ending cost with no limit
  • The campaign needs equipment, an internet connection and an office
  • I need to travel to appear on shows with people like Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson
  • We need to do more investigation into voter fraud in the district and clean it up
  • We need the campaign to grow

Friend -- February was the best month ever for our campaign—we received donations from 34,025 different people for a total of $570,954.82!  The average donation was $16.78.  That’s incredible.  THANK YOU for making it happen.  We raised as much as many other major candidates for the month.   Aside from the raw numbers, which are staggering, here’s another reason I am excited.  I received this message hundreds of times via social media:  “You are the first political candidate I have ever donated to.”   This message is important.  It’s become a constant drumbeat.  And it means that we are poised to do great things. Robert, Hillary Clinton gave an economic speech on Monday—where she basically promised to change little, help no one, and fix nothing if she becomes President of the United States. Instead, Hillary wants to offer you and me more of the same: more of the same lousy liberal "solutions" that have been failing the American people for the past 8 years. You know what they say: insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results.  So I think it's safe to say that Hillary's plan to continue the failed economic policies of Barack Obama is, by that definition, insane. After 8 years of Obama, nearly 100 million Americans don't have jobs. Millions more Americans are collecting welfare from the government. Jon: Let it go to waste

robert - President Obama is right: many of the same voices urging the United States to reject the deal with Iran in favor of a military approach were some of the loudest voices in favor of war with Iraq. Congress is home for recess now, and we need to make sure they hear your voice before returning to D.C. to take a vote. So far over 100,000 veterans, military family members, and VoteVets supporters have taken action on this issue - add your name to theirs today:  Tell Congress: vote for the negotiated deal that is our best chance to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon The vote can go either way at this point so every Representative and every Senator that comes out in favor of the deal is a major victory. Robert, This morning, Marcelle and I were proud to see how many Vermonters travelled all the way to Washington to participate in the Women’s March on Washington. And we were so pleased to see so many gather for a similar march in Montpelier this afternoon. It was an honor to join together with many thousands of women and men gathered to proclaim loudly that women’s rights are human rights -- and to make a strong statement a day after the inauguration of Donald Trump. By coming together today, Americans of all gender identities, races, faiths, sexual orientations, and immigration statuses sent a powerful message that we will continue fighting for women's rights, to protect our communities, and for progress on the issues that matter. Jon: I came home from Iraq and started a military movement

robert -  I started VoteVets after returning from Iraq for two reasons: 1. to elect more progressive veterans, and 2. to ensure elected officials recognize the cost of war continues long after the last service member returns home from overseas.  This year, we are one of the leading voices in the fight to stop Donald Trump from ever becoming Commander in Chief, we are on the brink of electing a new generation of progressive veterans to the House and the Senate, and we are taking on the Koch Brothers' campaign to privatize the VA.  That's only possible because the vision for this organization has blossomed into a movement of 500,000-plus veterans, military family members, and their supporters standing together in these fights.
