Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for joining our team.

The career politicians have a big head start. But with your help, we are quickly building the resources and momentum necessary to get on the main debate stage at the Reagan Library in September.
Since the first debate, just one week ago, our campaign has gained incredible traction. It’s truly because of the support of Americans like you that we’ve been able to do so much in such a short period of time. Just look at some of the polling that has come out in the last week:
  • We’ve skyrocketed to 4th place nationwide--tied with Scott Walker, and just 1 point behind Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio.
  • Two more polls put us in 4th place in Iowa.
  • 2nd place in Nevada.
  • 5th place in New Hampshire.
  • 2nd place in Michigan.
We don’t say it enough, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you again for your support. And thank you again for standing with my campaign.

robert, Congress just got back from their annual summer vacation -- but Mitch McConnell's Republican Party sure didn't take a single day off from their attacks on women and families.  They've come after Alison Lundergan Grimes with sexist attacks on her qualifications. They've shuffled their election dates in Georgia to try to come up with a less absurd challenger to Michelle Nunn. It's been a crazy couple months, but we can't dwell on the negative -- because  we've had an amazing response from all of you in the last several weeks! You've put our women candidates like Alison and Michelle in a great place with thousands and thousands of contributions. You've supported EMILY's List in unprecedented numbers.   Black Independent Party, Since Senator Joe Manchin announced he’d vote against critical voting rights legislation AND oppose ending the filibuster, Justice Democrats have spoken out in frustration.  Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman haven’t held anything back. Speaking on Manchin’s opposition to the For The People Act, to protect our elections and stop the racist Republican voter suppression laws in states across the country, Jamaal said,  “Joe Manchin has become the new Mitch McConnell...Manchin is doing everything in his power to stop democracy and to stop our work for the people.”  It’s blunt, but it’s true. Robert, My uncle once wrote in a Presidential Executive Order that government contractors should  “take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, or national origin.”  He recognized the institutional and cultural barriers that many minorities faced at the time when trying to obtain employment, and how those barriers affected their upward mobility.  Today, President Trump and Jeff Sessions are attacking affirmative action and falsely alleging that these policies that work to help disadvantaged students discriminate against white students.    That is ridiculous. Robert, I first met Russ Feingold in the 1990s, back when I was teaching in law school. The big banks and credit card companies were trying to peddle a terrible bankruptcy bill in the Senate, and I was looking for help to stop it. It's not always easy to find people willing to stand up to big financial companies in Washington. Looking back, I imagine Russ probably could have used the hefty campaign contributions he would have gotten from the banking industry if he had ignored my calls. But that didn't matter to Russ. We asked ourselves: What can we do to help them? Onward Together was formed as a way to support and connect the groups that are doing the work that absolutely needs to be done right now -- from mobilizing voters to encouraging and training new activists to recruiting people who are ready to run for office themselves. In 2017, we partnered with 11 organizations headed up by by smart, passionate leaders.
