Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for joining our team.

The career politicians have a big head start. But with your help, we are quickly building the resources and momentum necessary to get on the main debate stage at the Reagan Library in September.
Since the first debate, just one week ago, our campaign has gained incredible traction. It’s truly because of the support of Americans like you that we’ve been able to do so much in such a short period of time. Just look at some of the polling that has come out in the last week:
  • We’ve skyrocketed to 4th place nationwide--tied with Scott Walker, and just 1 point behind Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio.
  • Two more polls put us in 4th place in Iowa.
  • 2nd place in Nevada.
  • 5th place in New Hampshire.
  • 2nd place in Michigan.
We don’t say it enough, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you again for your support. And thank you again for standing with my campaign.

Robert, I first met Russ Feingold in the 1990s, back when I was teaching in law school. The big banks and credit card companies were trying to peddle a terrible bankruptcy bill in the Senate, and I was looking for help to stop it. It's not always easy to find people willing to stand up to big financial companies in Washington. Looking back, I imagine Russ probably could have used the hefty campaign contributions he would have gotten from the banking industry if he had ignored my calls. But that didn't matter to Russ. Even when the odds were against us, Russ joined the fight to stop that terrible bill -- and he didn't just passively sign on; he threw himself into the fight with energy and enthusiasm. BREAKING NEWS: Senate Republicans are pushing the Blunt Amendment, a radical piece of legislation that would cannibalize health care reform by letting any employer deny any part of your heath care coverage due to “moral convictions.” Robert, this goes way beyond taking away birth control coverage. An employer could decide that they couldn’t shell out the money necessary for your expensive cancer treatment because of their "moral convictions," and you’d be out of luck. Robert, My uncle once wrote in a Presidential Executive Order that government contractors should  “take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, or national origin.”  He recognized the institutional and cultural barriers that many minorities faced at the time when trying to obtain employment, and how those barriers affected their upward mobility.  Today, President Trump and Jeff Sessions are attacking affirmative action and falsely alleging that these policies that work to help disadvantaged students discriminate against white students.    That is ridiculous. Robert, He sides with corporations over workers. He thinks employers should be able to decide whether or not a woman has access to abortion. He was nominated by someone whose campaign is currently under FBI investigation. And Republicans think we'll just let them appoint him to the highest court in the nation.  They're wrong.   Black Independent Party, it seems like House Democrats are fighting harder to protect themselves from the basic tenets of democracy than they are to defeating Republicans. It’s ridiculous.. The 4th most powerful Democrat in the House, Hakeem Jeffries, and one of the most conservative Democrats in Congress, Josh Gottheimer, have launched “Team Blue PAC” — a PAC specifically designed to spend big money against progressive primary challengers like Justice Democrats. Jeffries and Gottheimer claim they are doing this on behalf of Democratic Party leadership.
