Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for joining our team.

The career politicians have a big head start. But with your help, we are quickly building the resources and momentum necessary to get on the main debate stage at the Reagan Library in September.
Since the first debate, just one week ago, our campaign has gained incredible traction. It’s truly because of the support of Americans like you that we’ve been able to do so much in such a short period of time. Just look at some of the polling that has come out in the last week:
  • We’ve skyrocketed to 4th place nationwide--tied with Scott Walker, and just 1 point behind Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio.
  • Two more polls put us in 4th place in Iowa.
  • 2nd place in Nevada.
  • 5th place in New Hampshire.
  • 2nd place in Michigan.
We don’t say it enough, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you again for your support. And thank you again for standing with my campaign.

Robert, We had another strong performance at the debate tonight in Fayetteville. Once again, we showed where Tom Cotton's priorities lie: With the out-of-state billionaires bankrolling his campaign. This year, his backers have spent over $20 million trying to buy this election. Why?  Because they know they can count on Tom Cotton. That's the difference in this race. I listen to you and he listens to the billlionaires.   But we can't rest on our laurels with tonight's victory.  I need you to commit vote, and I need you to commit to vote early. I know you received a lot of emails over the last week, but I wanted to say: Thank you. This month, we saw a surge in donations, and because of you, we not only hit our July fundraising goal, we surpassed it. T he oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States.   Dating back to 1865, it was on  June 19 th  that the Union soldiers, led by  Major General Gordon Granger , landed at  Galveston, Texas  with news that the war had ended and that the  enslaved were now free . Note that this was  two and a half years  after  President Lincoln’s  Emancipation Proclamation  - which had  become official January 1, 1863 . The Emancipation Proclamation had little impact on the Texans due to the minimal number of Union troops to enforce the new  Executive Order . However, with the  surrender of General Lee in April of 1865 , and the  arrival of General Granger’s regiment,  the  forces  were finally strong enough to  influence  and  overcome the resistance. Today, I want to share a few of their stories with you, and to let you know that in the next few weeks, we're going to be flying almost two dozen veterans and military family members out the nation's capital to make their voices heard loud and clear. Dear Robert, What if there was a magic button that could overturn  Citizens United , get the word “SuperPAC” out of our national vocabulary, and drive shady money out of our political system forever? Wouldn’t you push the heck out of that button? Me, too. But there’s no such button. All we can do is fight as hard as we can to limit the influence of big money -- and one important step we can take is passing the DISCLOSE Act, a bill that would force special interest groups to tell us who’s funding their political activities. Robert, My uncle once wrote in a Presidential Executive Order that government contractors should  “take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, or national origin.”  He recognized the institutional and cultural barriers that many minorities faced at the time when trying to obtain employment, and how those barriers affected their upward mobility.  Today, President Trump and Jeff Sessions are attacking affirmative action and falsely alleging that these policies that work to help disadvantaged students discriminate against white students.    That is ridiculous.
