Mili Hernandez is an 8 year-old girl who loves soccer. She's so good that she plays on the 11 yr-old roster even though she's only 8.
Last weekend, she helped lead her team to the finals of the Springfield Soccer Club girls tournament. However, before taking the field on Sunday, she and her team were suddenly disqualified because the tournament organizers insisted she was a boy due to her short hair style.
Mili's family provided the organizers with their insurance card, as an attempt to show proof, but it wasn't enough. Mili's brother stated "They didn't want to listen. They said the president made his decision and there wasn't any changing that". Mili was so devastated, they made her cry.
Please help us fight back against this clear case of sex stereotyping discrimination from the Nebraska State Soccer Association. Let's let them know we will not let our girls be treated unfairly just because they do not conform with what they think a girl should look like!

I'm proud to support it, and I hope you are, too. Under the administration's guidance, immigration courts are going to focus on deporting people who have been convicted of crimes or who pose a security risk. This means that the courts will focus less on "low-priority" cases -- like young people who were brought here as small children and know no other home, or veterans and military spouses. So the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice will be reviewing the current deportation caseload, clearing out low-priority cases, and making sure they don't get into the system in the first place -- keeping the focus on cases that will make our country safer. It's a smart, strategic change. And it will make a difference. But more comprehensive change requires Congress to act.

Dear robert, Thanksgiving’s coming up. This year, I bet you a LOT of outside groups are giving a LOT of thanks for  Citizens United. This year was the most expensive midterm election ever. Yes,  ever . And a lot of that is thanks to the outside money that  Citizens United  let loose in our political process. Join the 5OO,OOO+ people standing with me against  Citizens United.  Demand Congress end that decision’s effects right now. Outside spending in our elections has gotten absurd. Look at the numbers: Koch network groups spent about  $150 million. Rove’s groups spent  $70 million. Conservative groups altogether spent  $302 million  to defeat Democrats in this year’s elections. Call me crazy, but I don’t think when the founders envisioned free speech, they meant “let corporations spend millions of dollars to buy elections in America.” This is not how our elections should run.
